Contraindication

Do not take long-term or in large doses. Not for cases with Spleen deficiency or injury to the fluids

Indications

For Liver Fire or damp heat in the lower burner. Signs and symptoms include hypochondriac pain, dizziness, headache, red and sore eyes, swollen ears, hearing loss, bitter taste in the mouth, irritability and short temper. Pulse is wiry, rapid, and forceful. Tongue is red with a yellow coat. Also used for dysuria with a heat in the urethra, swollen and itchy external genitalia, or foul-smelling leukorrhea. The menstrual cycle will be shorter than usual and the blood will be reddish-purple.
